Lighting Up in Restaurants Leads to Arrest

As of December 2009, according to Virginia state law, smoking in restaurants is prohibited. Some people have been ignoring this new regulation and have had to face consequences. Police in Falls Church arrested nine smokers last week after receiving numerous complaints about people smoking in a group of Vietnamese restaurants in Eden Center. Four more people were arrested for allowing the smokers to light up.

All of the arrests that occurred last week were in the 6700 block of Wilson Boulevard in the center of Seven Corners. Those arrested were given citations and fines.
