Bailey's Crossroads sexual assaults under investigation | News
FALLS CHURCH, Va. (WUSA9) -- Fairfax County Police are investigating two sexual assaults near businesses in the Bailey's Crossroads area from January. At this time, police believe the cases are unrelated.
Police say the most recent incident happened on January 31 at 6 p.m. A 28-year-old woman was shopping in the Ross store in the 5800 block of Crossroads Center Way when a man approached her.
According to police, he spoke to her in Spanish and was very friendly with her. As she was leaving the store, he pulled up in his silver-colored Mercedes and asked her to get in, say police. She accepted the offer and once she was inside, he locked the doors. Police say he then drove to a location nearby and sexually assaulted her. The woman was able to escape and fled, say police.
Police describe the suspect as a white male wearing a dark jacket and white shirt. He wore glasses and had black hair, according to police. Police believe he may have approached other people.
Police have released photos of the suspect (see attached).

The suspect was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and thin. He wore a black mask, an orange jacket and a black hooded sweatshirt, say police.he Bob's Furniture Store in the 5800 block of Leesburg Pike, say police, when she heard footsteps behind her. They say she was grabbed and assaulted. Police also tell us the woman resisted her attacker and eventually was able to flee.
