City of Falls Church Names New Communications Director | News

From the City of Falls Church:

Susan Fuller Finarelli has been named Director of Communications for the City of Falls Church effective January 2012. Finarelli has served the City as Communications Specialist since February 2011. Finarelli will replace Barbara Gordon who will retire Jan. 2, 2012, after 18 cumulative years with the City of Falls Church.

“Ms. Finarelli has forged effective working relationships with City staff and community leaders in the past 10 months,” said City Manager Wyatt Shields. “She has shown the energy, initiative, and skill that will make her successful as our Director of Communications.”
Finarelli has 12 years of experience in the communications field working for associations, digital publishers, and non-profit organizations. She earned her M.A. in Public Communications from American University in Washington, DC and her B.A. from Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Virginia.
